The monthly “Walk With A Doc” free community walking program scheduled this Saturday (March 3) will feature a new healthcare provider from the Union Hospital family.
Candy Yoder, a certified nurse practitioner who recently began seeing patients at Alpine Family Medicine at Sugarcreek, will make a brief presentation and lead Walk With A Doc beginning at 9 a.m. in the Union Hospital cafeteria.
The entire event is free and no pre-registration is necessary. A free healthy snack – “Avocado Kale Ceasar Wrap” – and water also will be provided by the Union Hospital Nutrition Services staff.
For more details, call (330) 308-3599 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Yoder sees patients of all ages and currently is taking new patients at Alpine Family Medicine, which is located at 126½ N. Broadway in Sugarcreek. She has been a nurse for more than 20 years and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Malone University. A Sugarcreek resident, she and her husband Marvin have two grown sons.
Walkers will hear a health-related message from Yoder and take a rejuvenating walk on the hospital’s indoor or outdoor walking trails, which are both available.
Walk With a Doc is a national non-profit organization with a mission to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages, and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in order to improve the health and well-being of the country.
